Mukumugi Tour

1. Departure from the hotel in the morning to the Mukumugi Ecological Corridor. This journey is about 18 kilometers.
2. Three ways to apply for entry permit:
   • Ask a travel agency to apply for park entry permit for you (need to pay fee for certain areas)
   • Go to Tongshan police station by your own and line up to apply for entry permit at the same day you enter the park (usually full at 7 or 8 AM.)
   • Go to the website of National Police Agency, Ministry of the Interior to apply for permit 7-30 days before entering the mountain (not open on weekends and holidays)

Whale Watching Tour

Shiny Ocean Hotel→Whale Watching Recreational Pier at Hualien Port→ Board a boat at the pier for whale-watching (check ID card)→Browse the view of the pier, appreciate the beautiful scenery along the coast and enjoy the mountainous view of Central Mountains → listen to the whale watching professional narrator’s explanation of whale ecology along the way and search for tracks of whales→enjoy watching whales swimming, jumping above the surface and playing with each other→finish the two-and-a-half-hour whale watching journey and return to the pier.

Rafting Tour

Xiuguluan River Visitor Center is the starting point of the Xiuguluan River rafting activity located beside Ruisui Bridge
Departure from the hotel, go south along Provincial Highway 9, after passing Fenglin and Guangfu Township, you will then arrive at Xiuguluan River Rafting Service Center. You can also go to the Xiuguluan River Rafting Service Center by taking Provincial Highway 11 to south, then take Ruikong Road after passing Yuedong (Moon Cave), with the journey of about 66 kilometers.

River-Tracing Tour

White Abalone River (24 kilometers away from the hotel)

In old times, White Abalone River was named White Pao River, which originates from Papaya Southern Mountain of Central Mountains and is one of the tributaries of Hualien River. White Abalone River winds down eastwards and joins Lao River near the Chongguang Bridge in Chinan Village, Shoufeng Township, then flow into Hualien River. The total length of White Abalone River is 9 kilometers, with clear water running all year-round. The river has many check dams and forms many puddles and pools, therefore, it become a popular place for water playing, fishing, swimming and river tracing.
